Ghirardelli Chocolate Bread Pudding

INGREDIENTS:
This dessert is like a chocolate handcuff with the key thrown away!

1# French Bread, cut into large dice
2.5 Cups Whole Milk
1/4 C Heavy Cream
1/2 Cup Coffee Liquor
1.5 Cups Granulated Sugar
1 Cup Golden Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Cocoa Powder
2 tsp. Almond Extract
1.5 tsp. Cinnamon
6 eggs, lightly beaten
8 oz Semisweet Ghirardelli Chocolate Chips
Fresh Berries and Caramel Sauce for garnish

Method:
-Lightly grease a 13X9” baking dish and place the bread in the dish. In a large mixing bowl mix together the milk, cream, liquor, sugar, brown sugar, and cocoa powder. In a separate mixing bowl mix together the almond extract, cinnamon, and eggs. Add the egg mixture to the milk mixture and mix well.
-Pour the mixture over the bread. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on the surface of the pudding. Allow to rest about 10 minutes to allow the milk to soak into the bread.
-Bake for one hour at 350F or until a knife inserted into the center of the pudding comes out clean. Serve warm with caramel sauce and berries.
